He First Killed the Minuteman – Book Talk with Author Cynthia Adams
Join us on Wednesday, May 14 at 1 pm, and meet the author as they discuss one of Connecticut’s most gruesome and heartbreaking crimes of 2020. Willington, CT is the epicenter of this crime frenzy which began on Memorial Day Weekend and ended six days later following a manhunt across state lines.
This spree took the life of beloved Willington resident, Ted DeMers, who was the model for Connecticut’s Minuteman Statue, as well as Nicholas Eisele of Derby, a childhood friend of the murderer. Issues of the death penalty, ‘Not guilty by reason of insanity’, and the impact of Covid on mental health treatment will all be discussed.
